Bayern Munich and Salzburg tied 1-1 in the first leg of their Champions League round-of-16 encounter on Wednesday night, thanks to Coman’s late goal.

The hosts were the stronger team in the first half, and had Nigerian born striker and super substitute – Chukwubuike Adamu put them ahead with a curling effort past Ulreich in their first-ever Champions League knockout encounter.

Bayern, on the other hand, took control of the second half, although they were on the verge of falling behind 2-0 if it hadn’t been for a spectacular save and a last-ditch block from Pavard.
Coman was the visitors’ finest player, and he scored a 90th-minute goal from close range to ensure they didn’t lose.

Salzburg did put up a brilliant performance, and but a shame they are not in front going into the second leg.
Bayern Munich’s flawless record in the tournament this season is no longer intact, despite the fact that they have avoided back-to-back defeats in all competitions.
In just over three weeks, the Allianz Arena will host the second leg of the tie.
