Moses Simon’s FC Nantes trounced PSG to snap their unbeaten Ligue 1 away streak with a spectacular display on Saturday.

Les Canaris controlled the encounter from start to finish, taking a 3-0 lead in the first half courtesy to a string of important Lafont saves.

When Neymar levelled up just after halftime, he seemed to be on the brink of pulling the visitors back into the clash.

However, the Brazilian squandered a golden opportunity to make it 3-2 when he missed a penalty, and Nantes held on to win.

Simon Moses, the Super Eagles winger, was instrumental for Nantes, earning his seventh Ligue 1 assist of the season.

Simon Moses in the first half vs. PSG:

– 45mins
– 1 assist
-1 shot on target
– 18 Touches
– 3 chances created (most)
-2/3 succ. crosses (most)

Nantes moves up five places to sixth in Ligue 1, just three points behind Strasbourg, with the win.

They had only 28% control for the whole game, but when they did, they were vicious.

PSG is still in first place, with a 13-point advantage over Marseille, and will surely be more annoyed than alarmed by the loss, especially given their first-half display.

As a result, Nantes’ hopes to enter Europe are still alive and well.

The Mauricio Pochettino side will quickly forget their defeat, but Les Canaris will remember it fondly.
