Chelsea midfielder – Mason Mount, has expressed his desire to step into the Todd Boehly era at Stamford Bridge as soon as possible.
This summer, Roman Abramovich ended his 19-year ownership of the Blues and the most successful period in Chelsea’s history by selling the club to a group headed by Boehly.
To kick off this new era with a bang, Boehly has aligned a number of top summer signings, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Matthijs de Ligt, and Raheem Sterling.
However, there is ambiguity surrounding these prospective stars because Chelsea supporters are unsure of how many of them will actually be recruited, but Mount still sees the future.
“It is a new era, so we all feel very excited and, whenever a new season comes around, you are excited about what’s possible. I can’t wait to see what happens.” – he told the Evening Standard.

The Thomas Tuchel side is slowly returning from its preseason break.
Mount was one of many who got a long rest after being actively involved with international duty this summer.
“We’ve had a break now but we’ll see and we hope it is going to be a good year. I am feeling rested and ready to go.” – Mount added.
