Tottenham beat Crystal Palace 3-0 at home after a wild ten minutes in the first half practically ended the game as a contest.Harry Kane

Kane and Lucas scored two goals in two minutes in the 32nd and 34th minutes to give Spurs an unstoppable lead, which was only exacerbated by Zaha’s dismissal three minutes later for a second bookable offence, both involving Sanchez.

With 16 minutes remained in the game, Son punished Palace’s sloppy near-post defence by getting on the end of Lucas’ cross and beating Butland with a beautiful finish to make it three.

After the sending off, Palace’s lack of alternatives at the top of the pitch forced them to restrict their damage, failing to force Lloris into a save throughout the encounter.Son

Tottenham moves up to fifth place, while Palace slide to 12th.

The holiday fixture schedule resumes in two days, as Spurs travel to Southampton and Palace return home to face Norwich City.
