Marcos Alonso cancelled out James Maddison’s earlier goal to ensure that the points were shared equally at the end of the final whistle.

After Castagne snagged Schmeichel’s long clearance, the ball fell graciously for Maddison, who fired Leicester in front after just six minutes of game play.

The midfielder found space on the edge of the box and wasted no time to power is drive past Mendy. However, in the 34th minute, Marcos Alonso volley a wonderful attempt to cancelled out the goal.

Having followed a smooth pass exchange, James produced a lovely diagonal ball into the area, where Alonso scored with a stunning volley.

Chelsea completely controlled the game for a long time, with Thomas Tuchel pressuring his players to perform better, but Leicester defended admirably overall.

Brendan Rodgers’ team escaped with a 1-1 tie at the end of the final whistle.

To knock the Blues out on the final day of the season, Tottenham will obviously need to score at least 19 goals.

On Sunday, both Chelsea and Leicester City will play their final Premier League games of the season at home.

At Stamford Bridge, the Blues will face Watford, while Leicester City will face Southampton at the King Power Stadium.
