Josh Maja made an immediate impact at Stoke City on Saturday, netting his first goal in a 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic in his first game.
In front of the Potters’ attack, the 23-year-old wasted no time in establishing his arrival.
Maja took advantage of a defensive error 14 minutes into his first appearance at the bet365 Stadium to put the Potters ahead.

Jacob Brown grabbed victory for the hosts in the 62nd minute, guaranteeing Michael O’Neill’s side progressed to the FA Cup fifth round.
Meanwhile, in the space of five minutes, Gwion Edwards collected two yellow cards, leaving Wigan Athletic to ten men.
Maja only lasted 78 minutes before being replaced by Steven Fletcher, and his goal will come as a pleasant relief after only 76 minutes in four games for Bordeaux earlier on in this season.
“Off the mark & into the next round. Thanks to all the fans for the support,” he wrote on his twitter page.

He’ll be looking to maintain his goal-scoring prowess when Stoke City, who are now 14th in the Championship, visit Swansea City on Tuesday.
