In the forthcoming season, Raheem Sterling will be a great star for the Blues, claims Jamie Carragher’s in his article for The Telegraph.
The former Man City player contributed positively to Chelsea’s performance against Everton in their Premier League opener, but the linesman’s offside flag prevented him from scoring his first club goal.
The 27-year-old forward is presently the only significant attacking acquisition the Blues have made after missing out on a deal for Raphinha, who later joined Barca.
Given the Blues’ weak front line’s inability to score goals, the England international will undoubtedly face a lot of pressure to perform well.

Although Sterling is now the only standout newcomer, Jamie Carragher believes he is more than capable of fulfilling these standards.
Raheem Sterling will be successful at Chelsea, according to Carragher.
“Chelsea are now facing more questions due to their slower work in the transfer market. Tuchel’s team is still strong, though, especially following the summer signings of Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly. I expect Sterling to be a phenomenal player under Tuchel and there is clearly more money for Chelsea to spend in the coming weeks, with Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong a midfield target.”
This weekend’s important London derby against Tottenham Hotspur is Sterling’s best chance to net his first goal for Chelsea, and the forward will be motivated to do so as soon as possible.
Despite the fact that it is still early in the season, Antonio Conte’s club is strongly supported to even finish above the Blues this year.
