Manchester City triumphed in a thrilling match to win their 9th Premier League title in a row.
But it was Super Eagles star Kelechi Iheanacho who stole the show, scoring a goal and assisting twice as Leicester City were thrashed at the Etihad on Sunday evening.
Kelechi Iheanacho is the third player to both score and assist in a single Premier League game against Man City having previously appeared for them in the competition, after Paul Dickov for Leicester in 2003 and James Milner for Liverpool in 2016. Haunt.
Manchester City won 6-0 over Leicester City to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League, despite the Foxes giving the hosts a scare in the second half.
City dominated the first 45 minutes, scoring four goals thanks to goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Riyad Mahrez, Ilkay Gundogan, and Raheem Sterling.
However, goals from James Maddison, Ademola Lookman, and Kelechi Iheanacho pulled the visitors to within a goal of Pep Guardiola’s side.
Aymeric Laporte scored a key fifth goal to put the game out of Leicester’s reach, and Sterling added his second three minutes later to seal the win.
Manchester City’s next Premier League match is on the road at Brentford on Wednesday.
The next game for Leicester is on Tuesday at the King Power Stadium against Liverpool.
