During their Saudi Arabian Premier League match on Tuesday night, Odion Ighalo scored the game-winning goal to assist his side achieve a 2-1 victory over arch rivals Al Ittihad.

In the Saudi Pro League, the Super Eagles’ star striker scored his 16th goal of the season as Al Hilal upset league leaders Al Ittihad 2-1.

After 16 minutes of play at the Prince Faisal Stadium, Salem Al-Dawsari converted a spot kick to hand the Blue Eagles the lead.

Al Ittihad’s Haroune Camara evened up 14 minutes into the second half to pull the visitors back into contention.

But their celebration was brief, as Al-Hilal took the lead back after only eight minutes.

Regardless of the outcome, Al Ittihad is still in first spot in the standings, eight points ahead of second-placed Al-Shabab and will be facing them next on Sunday.

After 21 games, Al-Hilal is currently in fourth place, 11 points behind the league leaders, and will battle Al-Raed on Sunday.
