The thought of swapping his nationality from England to Nigeria excites Ademola Lookman, the latest Super Eagles recruit.
Lookman, who is on loan from RB Leipzig to Leicester City, has expressed his joy at FIFA’s approval of his nationality switch.
The 24-year-old praised Nigerians and football supporters for their warm reception, saying he can’t wait to honor his country in the Super Eagles uniform.
Lookman took to his official Twitter page to say:
“Delighted to announce that FIFA has approved my Nationality switch. Thank you for the warm welcome and I can’t wait to put on the Super Eagles shirt and represent the country @NGSuperEagles.”

The attacker will probably make his debut when Nigeria’s Super Eagles face Ghana in a World Cup Qualifier playoff.
If called up to play against Ghana, he would join his colleagues Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho in the Super Eagles squad.
