Henry Offia wraps up the scoring in Trelleborgs win over Skövde AIK

Trelleborgs FF secured a comfortable win over Skövde AIK on Monday evening with Nigerian forward – Henry Offia wrapping off the scoring.

In the Swedish Superettan league match between the two teams, the forward delivered as expected for Trelleborgs.

Henry Offia scored his seventh goal of the season as Skövde AIK were defeated 2-1 by Trelleborgs at the Vångavallen stadium.

The Kristian Haynes’ team got out to a promising start, but it was the visitors who quickly took the lead 13 minutes to end of first half through Jack Cooper Love, who was assisted by Gustav Friberg.

Two minutes into the second half of the game, Nicolas Mortensen pulled the home side back into the game with a simple tap-in for the equaliser, after Skövde AIK goalkeeper failed to clear the initial effort from Haris Brkic.

Before Henry Offia made sure he sealed the game and all three points for Trelleborgs as he doubled their lead with a stunning strike from outside the 18-yard box five minute later and they held on to the lead until final whistle.

Both teams are now in fifth and sixth spot after the 2-1 victory, with Trelleborgs ahead by just goal difference (1) after fifteen games.

Trelleborgs will be looking to keep their winning streak going when they take on Norrby on Saturday, July 30.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian forward, 22, will be looking to maintain his fantastic scoring form for Trelleborgs in the new campaign.
