A lot of Chelsea fans are worried about Raheem Sterling’s current run of form for the Blues as the forward hasn’t been able to score in recent games.

In 14 games for the club since his switch from Manchester City to the Stamford Bridge, Sterling has only contributed four goals and two assists. Sterling hasn’t scored in the Premier League either under Potter.

The situation has actually frustrated Chelsea fans, who are demanding that Pulisic, who has shown promising results, take Sterling’s spot after the latter scored his last goal for the team against Red Bull Salzburg in the new manager’s first match.

Graham Potter, manager of Chelsea, predicts that Raheem Sterling, who joined from City in the summer, will easily rediscover his best form. Potter has made it clear that he is unconcerned about Sterling’s goal-scoring struggles.

Although Sterling hasn’t scored in any of his last six games, Potter was certain that Chelsea’s collective attacking issues are more at fault for the winger’s struggles.

It’s not something we have to zoom in to one person. As a team, we can do better, and if we do better as a team, then individuals will benefit from that, so that’s where the work is.” – Potter said.

Under Potter, Sterling has been utilised in a wide range of roles. When Reece James injured his knee, he started the Salzburg game as a left wing-back and has since played in the same position on the right.

In defence of his tactical decisions, Potter added that;

He’s got the flexibility, ability and quality to play in several positions. It’s not straightforward with losing the players we have to injury. So you’re constantly trying to find the right balance, and find the right solutions. But he can help us in a number of positions.
