Gambia players, staff test negative for coronavirus

Gambia national team are ready to face the host Cameroon in Afcon 2021 quarter-final as all 27 players have tested Negative for Covid-19.

The Gambia Football Federation announced that all the 27 players and staff have tested negative for the deadly virus.

Thus everyone is available for the match on Saturday against hosts, Cameroon in the quarterfinals of the African Cup of Nations at the Stade de Japoma.
The Gambia side has no star players in its lineup and plays a simple but demanding brand of football.

When they face the Indomitable Lions, they will undoubtedly be aiming to advance farther in the tournament.

Regardless of the outcome of the match against the hosts on January 29, team coach Tom Saintfiet would be proud of his players for coming thus far.
