Wilfred Ndidi, the Super Eagles’ standout player, scored his first UEFA Europa League goal for Leicester City on Thursday night.
The Premier League side defeated Legia Warsaw 3-1 at the King Power Stadium, with the 24-year-old scoring the third goal.
After conceding a penalty earlier in the game to offer the visitors hope of a comeback, Ndidi blasted a stunning header from a corner kick in 33rd minute to give his side a 3-1 advantage.
Earlier in the game, Patson Daka and James Maddison each scored a goal to seal the victory as the Brendan Rodgers’ side now leads Group C.
“The positioning of the team was excellent, and we scored some good goals,” Brendan Rodgers’ verdict.
