Former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi has been sacked by his club just months after leaving the Bet 365 stadium in the summer.
Mikel joined Kuwait Sporting Club from Stoke City in the summer transfer window, but the middle-east club have now confirmed that his contract has been terminated.
Kuwait SC disclosed this on their official Facebook page on Thursday evening.
The midfielder had earlier signed a one-year extension with Stoke City before terminating his contract to join Kuwait SC.
Recall that Mikel Obi had also joined the Potters after Trabzonspor terminated his contract as he refused to play for the club due to coronavirus pandemic.
Mikel, who signed a one year deal with the Kuwaiti Premier League side made just 2 appearances for Al Kuwait SC.
