After another impactful performance for Watford on Saturday, Emmanuel Dennis has gone down in Premier League history.
With another fantastic individual effort at the King Power Stadium, the 24-year-old showed to be Watford’s key man in attack.
The Super Eagles man won a penalty and scored a goal, but Watford were unable to capitalise on their good form following a 4-2 defeat against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in adverse weather circumstances.
Four of the six goals were scored in the first 45 minutes, thanks to a superb first-half performance by the home side, which was aided by some bad defending from the visitors, including a moment of madness from William Troost-Ekong.
In the 16th minute, Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong made a bizarre and horrible gaffe that gave the home team a 1-0 lead.
Dennis became the sixth player in Premier League history to score five goals and assist five times in his first 12 games an was later replaced in 72nd minute by Ashley Fletcher.
Meanwhile, Vardy grabbed a brace, with Maddison and Lookman also on target for the Foxes.
The game ended 4-2 with three points for the hosts, which means that they move up to the top half and into ninth.
“We need to learn from our mistakes, because since I arrived there are many games where we think we should do much better but we make some mistakes,” Moussa Sissoko said shortly after the game.
“I don’t like this. I want my players to fight a little more,” Claudio Ranieri added.
