Australia defeated Denmark 0-1 in a World Cup Group D encounter at the Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah, Qatar.
With six points each, France and Australia advanced to the knockout round, but Tunisia was eliminated from the competition after earning four points from a 1-0 victory over the defending World Champions, France.

Denmark finished the competition with just one in group stage. In the qualifying rounds, they scored 30 goals and won nine games, but they lost all their games in Qatar, managed just one goal, and finished last in Group D.
