Equatorial Guinea, on the other hand advanced to the knockout stage after a 1-0 victory over Sierra Leone in Limbe.
Equatorial Guinea finished second with six points after Pablo Ganet netted the game’s lone goal in the 38th minute.
Leone Stars were eliminated from the competition with only two points, yet they finished third, ahead of Algeria.
