For the second time now in the Champions League quarter-finals, Chelsea has been drawn against Real Madrid on Friday.
A repeat of last season’s semi-final is upon us yet again, although with Roman Abramovich’s recent sanctions, Chelsea’s capacity to complete the fixture may be questionable.
At the other end, Manchester City, will be facing La Liga side – Atletico Madrid, who sent United out of the competition in Manchester earlier this week.
While managing Bayern Munich, Pep Guardiola was also thrown out of the competition by the Diego Simeone’s side.
Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool will face Benfica after victories against Inter Milan and Ajax.
Villarreal’s reward for beating Juventus is a clash against Bayern Munich, which will be significantly more tough to win for the Spanish club.
Last year’s finalists, Chelsea and Manchester City, are on the same side of the draw and will play in the semi-final in April if they win their ties.
If both Bayern and Liverpool win, they will face each other as well.
