by: Evolve

Super Eagles forward Emmanuel Dennis began his Nottingham Forest career on Tuesday as he made his debut in the team’s Carabao Cup triumph away to Grimsby Town.

Nottingham Forest moved to the third round of the Carabao Cup with a straightforward 3-0 victory over League Two team Grimsby Town.

Emmanuel Dennis made his new club debut as Forest manager Steve Cooper made 11 changes to the side that featured in the 1-1 Premier League draw against Everton.

Emmanuel Dennis managed to grab one assist to his name as Premier League newboys – Nottingham Forest secured an overwhelming win in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

After Ryan Yates’ spectacular goal opened the scoring, Sam Surridge scored two goals either side of halftime to clinch a convincing victory.

Ryan Taylor, a substitute for the home team, blasted a header against the crossbar early in the second half to give the team the closest opportunity to pulling one goal back.

The former Watford star was, however, substituted and replaced by his compatriot Taiwo Awoniyi in 75th minute of the game, and the former Union Berlin player had a hand in their third goal.

The Reds qualified to the League Cup third round thanks to great performances from the two top stars from Nigeria.

The following round of the contest is scheduled for November 8 and 9.
