Real Madrid moved to the quarter-finals of the Champions League thanks to Karim Benzema’s hat-trick in the second leg of their round-of-16 match vs PSG at the Bernabeu.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team fought back from a goal down to beat PSG 3-1, with Benzema netting all three goals in the second half.

Mbappe collected a pass from Neymar in the 39th minute and hammered a shot past Thibaut Courtois to give France a 1-0 lead before halftime.

The Frenchman was outstanding throughout the game and could have possibly scored more goals before halftime to put the game out of reach.

For the hosts, Karim Benzema had several opportunities, one of which Gianluigi Donnarumma masterfully stopped.

Madrid’s defence was carved open with ease, and the Spanish giants would have been out of the competition well before halftime if not for Courtois.

Mbappe’s second try of the night was ruled off after he blasted the ball into the net in the 54th minute.

The flag was raised to signify offside because the Frenchman moved a touch too early in reaction to Messi’s assist.

With a goal from Benzema six minutes later, Donnarumma gave Madrid hope of a comeback, bringing the score to 1-1.

The Italian goalkeeper made a terrible blunder at the back, allowing Benzema a straightforward chance to convert from close range, which he took without hesitation.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side were stunned when the Frenchman scored twice in two minutes to complete his hat-trick and move his team into the quarter-finals.

Real Madrid advanced to the last eight of the Champions League thanks to Karim Benzema’s incredible second-half hat-trick.

Madrid advances to the next round with a 3-2 aggregate score, while Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be heartbroken after failing to achieve their goal for the third season in a row.
