Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has resumed normal duties in Belgium after a goal scoring performance for his club on Saturday.

After firing blanks in his first game of the Jupiler season, the giant is off the mark for the new season following his goal against Kortrijk on Saturday.

With Genk trailing 1-0 courtesy of Teddy Chevalier’s 18th minute opener for the home side, Nigeria’s Onuachu towered above everyone to head home the equaliser on 52 minutes from a beautiful corner kick from man of the match and super sub Mike Tresor.

The goal was his first of the season in the Belgian league but second in three matches this season for the Belgian side.

His first goal of the season came in the 2-1 defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League qualifying round on August 3.

The 27-year-old now has two goals in three games this season, and it is beautiful to see him continue from where his stopped last season.

Onuachu netted 33 goals in 38 matches last season for Genk to become the player with most goals in a single season in Genk and Jupiler history, breaking the 19-year-old league record held by Belgian striker Wesley Sonck.

Our 6ft 7″ man was also went home with two top awards after he was named the top scorer and best player of the 2020/2021 season in Belgium.

Can Onuachu do better than last season for Genk?
