Borussia Mönchengladbach come back from a goal down to secure a 2-1 win over Bayern during their Bundesliga game, making it their second win in a row against the league leaders.Borussia Mönchengladbach

In October, Hutter’s team thrashed them 5-0 in the DFB Pokal, and if tonight’s victory was not as convincing, it still means a lot.

Julian Nagelsmann’s side started well but became sloppy as the game progressed, with Lewandowski’s opener being cancelled out by two Gladbach goals in quick succession.

Gladbach took the lead within only 4 minutes thanks to goals from Neuhaus and Lainer, and they never looked back.

Bayern failed to produce adequate chances to earn a draw at least, despite Lewandowski hitting the post and crossbar either side of halftime.

Bayern’s winning streak finally ends on home soil, and its fans will be hoping that the loss is due to sloppiness.

Gladbach’s win is their first in five tries, and they can now begin to push for a place in the top half of the table.
