With Chelsea kin to have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to join them at Stamford Bridge, Barcelona head coach Xavi has steadfastly refused to rule out a transfer for the star.

Just a few months after his four-year stint at Arsenal came to a disappointing end, Football411 has learned that the 33-year-old forward has handed in request to return to the Premier League.

Rumour has it that Chelsea has made a part-exchange offer of somewhat less than £15 million plus Marcos Alonso but Barcelona at the other end of the deal has lost interest in signing the defender and would prefer a cash-only.

Due to their dire financial circumstances, Barcelona has been unable to sign players for the majority of the summer.

However, three players—Robert Lewandowski, Franck Kessie, and Andreas Christensen—are now able to sign up for La Liga matches as a result of the activation of four financial levers, which called for the sale of assets like TV rights in order to raise rapid money.

Aubameyang, Memphis Depay, and Frenkie de Jong are three players that are anticipated to leave Camp Nou, while Jules Kounde, a crucial summer signing from Sevilla, is currently on the sidelines for the availability of further funds for Barcelona.

During his press conference, Xavi was questioned about a potential transfer for Aubameyang. He dismissed the claim, but he did emphasize how important it is for Barcelona to find a method to register Kounde as soon as possible.

We don’t know what will happen. Right now he’s our player, he’s important but the circumstances will tell. At the moment neither Auba nor Memphis have left… now the priority is to register Koundé. There is a market that ends on August 31 and we will see what will happen. I am counting on him and tomorrow it could be important, but we will see the circumstances.” – Xavi said.
