After putting up a standout performance on Wednesday night against Leeds United, Alex Iwobi is has proven yet again that he is among the greatest midfielders in the Premier League.

The Nigerian midfielder mirrored Leeds’ effort against the Reds while playing in Saturday’s thrilling 0-0 Premier League tie between Everton and Liverpool.

Many Nigerian football fans are excited about and extremely proud of the Everton midfielder’s recent and exceptional performances.

He is gifted with vision, physical strength, quickness, ferocity, and—most importantly—total self-assurance. Frank Lampard deserves appreciation for encouraging him as well; this is great for Nigeria and Everton.

Despite the Merseyside Derby’s scoreless outcome on Saturday, Pickford and Alex Iwobi both delivered outstanding displays. Nunez and Diaz were both denied scoring opportunities by the goalpost in the first half after Everton’s Davies struck the post.

Everton thought they had the lead after Coady’s close-range goal in minute 69, but VAR overturned it because the defender during the buildup was caught in an offside spot.

Following that, both teams proceeded to have more scoring chances, but Pickford produced some excellent saves to deny Firmino three times. Firmino displayed great effort after coming off the bench.

Maupay and McNeil had decent chances to score at the other end, but Alisson was alert to prevent Everton from netting.

Salah had a chance to win it in the final minute of play, but Pickford again saved the day by tipping Salah’s shot against the post, finishing in a 0-0 draw.

After drawing their previous four Premier League games, Everton will go to Arsenal for their upcoming match in pursuit of their first victory of the year.

While all is going on, Liverpool will concentrate on their midweek Champions League match against Napoli before hosting Wolves at the weekend.

In the distant past at Arsenal, Alex Iwobi frequently showed enormous promise as an additional playmaker, boosting the pace of attacks and connecting everything. It’s amazing to see him grow into such a talent while donning an Everton jersey.

Currently, the 26-year-old midfielder is playing at a better level. His intelligence, precise passing, and quick thinking in the middle are amazing to watch.

He has always had that wonderful star player nature inside of him, and he is now fortunate to have a manager that shares same belief.
