Super Eagles star man – Alex Iwobi was stretched off the field of play as Manchester United crushed his Everton team during their FA Cup game at Old Trafford on Friday night.

With a convincing 3-1 victory, United advances to the next round at the expense of the Nigerian international, who twisted his ankle as a result of Manchester United’s Tyrrell Malacia’s sliding challenge

Early in the second half, after United had controlled the first half, Coady’s equalizer was eliminated by an own goal from the Everton defender.

Toffees substitute – Calvert-Lewin, appeared to have finished off a well performed equalizer, but the goal was disallowed due to an offside call in the setup.

In the dying seconds, United managed to earn a penalty, which was converted by player of the match – Marcus Rashford to seal the win for the home team.

Despite the fact that Rashford gave the Erik ten Hag side a goal and two assists, Demarai Gray proved to be a huge threat for the opposition at Old Trafford.

He appeared to easily outrun opponents whenever he had the ball and was instrumental in Calvert-Lewin’s chalked-off equalizer.

With the 3-1 victory, United eliminates Everton from the FA Cup and advances to the fourth round. After losing the 25-year-old Nigerian to an ankle injury, Frank Lampard will surely be wailing in grief.

Although the Toffees will now be able to focus entirely on their fight to avoid Premier League relegation, it’s yet another defeat for a side that are yet to record a victory since the World Cup break.
