Super Eagles star player – Alex Iwobi has assured his Everton and Nigerian fans that he will soon be back to fitness after he was pulled out of FA Cup game on Friday due to injury.

Friday’s FA Cup match between Everton and Manchester United ended in a 3-1 loss for the Toffees at Old Trafford, though Alex Iwobi was stretchered off with the score still tied at 1-1

Tyrell Malacia’s challenge resulted in the 26-year-old midfielder suffering an ankle injury and being carried out on a stretcher.

The Super Eagles player landed awkwardly in the early moments of the second half of the game following a careless challenge by the defender, and was later removed on a stretcher.

However, in the expectation that the injury is not serious, Frank Lampard stated on Saturday that the former Arsenal star will have to have a scan.

His injury will undoubtedly be a big blow for Lampard as he works to improve Everton’s chances of staying in the Premier League.

The 18 league games played by the Toffees so far this season featured the Nigerian international, who has one goal and five assists.

Iwobi performed admirably for the Toffees prior to becoming injured, creating opportunities that were mostly unused before he was replaced by Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Alex Iwobi will be hoping to recuperate in time for the upcoming league games to help Everton in their battle against Premier League relegation.

The midfielder posted on his Twitter page to reassure fans that he will soon be back in action after it was confirmed he will be out for three weeks.

Appreciate The Love, Back Soon.” – Iwobi wrote
